Castile Olive Oil Awards
In 2015 our Castile Olive Oil soap was the first ever product to win a Free From Achievement Award at the prestigious Free From Skincare Awards.
This is an award that covers ALL of their 13 skincare categories, not just soaps!
As the award recognises, you really cannot get more ‘free from’ than a soap simply made from olive oil.
“Unusually, made from a blend of both Greek and Italian olive oils, and the natural by-product of glycerine – a humectant – is not removed. Superb for allergy-sufferers, as it is free of all preservatives, fragrances and food allergens, and it is gentle enough for both body and face. A deserving winner of the inaugural FreeFrom Achievement Award.”

As part of the judging process all shortlisted products undergo a rigorous one month evaluation by experienced testers. Here is an extract from their observations:

Shampoo really dries my hair out and conditioner makes it heavy and greasy.

I’m on to my second bar of this soap and it truly lasts for ages. If you live in an area with soft water, it doesn’t take long for this to lather. The first bar I used lasted 2 and a half months, being used every day in the shower, and this second bar has been on the go for a month and a half and looks like it will last another month more! Not my favourite scent of all the soaps I’ve tried from the ANSCo. but it’s so subtle that it’s never noticeable once you’re dry. Worth purchasing!

I can only underline what some others have written: this is an amazing soap not only for your face and body – but for stain removal. I rub it on the water-wettened stain and then scrub with a brush and bingo! the stain disappears. I have used the soap to remove orange lily pollen, turmeric stains and oil stains and it is miraculous. It is always at the ready on the side of my sink.

This soap is just amazing and very versatile.
Not only does it wash your face, body and hair.
It is a brilliant stain remover for clothes when you pre treat before washing.
It has removed a bright yellow stain from a sauce with turmeric on a white blouse, it didn’t get washed for a week and I was amazed that my blouse is white again with no sign of the stain.
Even a ball point pen stain that has been on a pillowcase for I don’t know how long has disappeared.
These soaps are truly amazing and I am so glad I discovered your site.

Hi I just wanted to support your section on how your castille soap is also a natural stain remover. I have a sample size of the castille soap and tried it on stains on clothes. I can confirm it has got rid of liquid foundation make up on a white top that NO chemical stain remover could shift. Also it has got rid of an oil stain, from some olives. It is a favourite top of mine however the oil stain was there for nearly 2 years because literally no chemical remover would remove it. One gentle application of a tiny bit of your castille soap, followed by a normal wash in the machine and the stain has completely gone. It is amazing stuff! I wet the area under a tap with warm water, rub in some soap, lather it on the clothing with my hands then pop the item straight into a normal wash on 40 degrees. So far, all stains gone! It has been a revelation to me and I have been able to get rid of yet another chemical cleaning product, and it makes your hands and clothes feel really soft.

I am having radiotherapy as cancer treatment. One of the side-effects of radiotherapy is dry and irritable skin, and patients are always warned of this and advised to avoid perfumed soaps or bath products. I treated myself to some of your soaps, and have become hooked. The olive oil soap is so rich and creamy and I’m working my way through all of them. A terrific product.

I just received my 8 custom soaps and I just used the olive oil one twice! I must say, it is amazing. It also makes my beard soft too and I don’t really have to worry about purchasing a separate beard wash or face wash now.

I received my order yesterday (the day after you posted it!:)).
I used the basic castile bar to wash my hair, followed that with an ACV rinse. I also used it to wash my face & as a shaving soap.
Oh my goodness!!! My itchy scalp stopped being itchy straight away!!! My hair was soft & shiny & held my short layered bob style much better (I straighten my hair but don’t use any styling products, I like to have natural feeling hair – plus I’m just highly sensitive to way too many things!!).
24 hours later, still no itching & I haven’t needed to wash my hair today.
My skin is lovely soft & smooth 🙂
