Olive Wood Magnetic Holder

Have you ever wanted to suspend your soap in the air? Ah ok, just us then. But seriously, it really is the best idea. Suspending your soap in the air means it can dry on all sides at once!

By simply pushing a little stainless disc into your soap bar, you can then attach it to a magnet and voila - totally clear sink / countertops, and wonderfully dry soap.

Back in the day (before the evil squirty stuff was invented) magentic soap holders were all the rage as they are just so damn practical. Nowadays, they're quite hard to find and even more so the plastic free kind.

As you might expect, we have had a long search trying to find exactly the right one. We've genuinely tested these for a few years and are now confident to offer them to you.

They are individually made for us by hand in Germany from olive wood and are really quite beautiful. They are simply lightly oiled with olive oil and the wood has not been treated in any other way. Once stuck to the wall, the only maintenance you will ever need to do is to apply a little olive oil to the wood from time to time to protect it and enhance the look of the wood grain.

To affix - peel off sticker and press hard onto a clean, dry surface. In our tests, the holders worked best on larger format tiles where the entire sticky pad* was in contact with the tile.

*We thought long and hard about whether to have them affix to the wall with a sticky pad (small bit of plastic) or be drilled in (no plastic) and have, to start with, opted for the sticky option. This obviously has the slight compromise of a small bit of plastic on the back of the holders but, after speaking with customers, have come down on the side that easy installation should mean that they are put to use right away, and not left languishing on the side waiting and waiting to be drilled. And this ultimately means, a happy bar soap user who is not tempted back towards plastic soap bottles. See what you think. We can always offer a drilled option in the future if you'd prefer.
